Residential Cladding

The term ‘cladding’ refers to components that are attached to the primary structure of a building to form non-structural, external surfaces – essentially forming a ‘skin’ around the building.  You can choose from wood, plastic, imitation stone or even metal. This allows a lot of flexibility when it comes to choosing how you might personalise your home. With each choice of material you have a huge variety, for instance, if you chose wood cladding you can have pine, cedar, or a composite wood effect. With metal cladding your base material can be galvanised steel or aluminium and both have a variety of colour finishes. You can completely transform the identity of your home with a great value cladding project. If you already have cladding on your property and it is coming to the end of its lifespan, or you fancy a change, call us to discuss your options.

Types of Cladding

Rainscreen

This type of cladding is typically formed of relatively thin pre-fabricated panels that form an outer skin, with an airtight insulated backing wall separated by a ventilated cavity. The system prevents significant amounts of water penetrating into the wall structure. The panels are generally fabricated from metal sheeting or formed from metal composite materials, although other materials such as terracotta, brick slips, stone and timber can be used. Rainscreen cladding is generally cost-effective, lightweight, and easy to install, maintain and replace, and can be used on refurbishment and new build projects.

Fibre Cement Cladding

This type of cladding is typically square-edged and has a timber-like surface finish, making it an ideal aesthetic substitute for real wood cladding. It is an attractive and low maintenance cladding solution, which can be provided in a range of colours and finishes, providing a range of aesthetic options. It is easy to install and resistant to damp, fire and infestation; it won’t warp, shrink or rot, has good weather resistance and can be installed vertically or horizontally.

We work with all the main cladding brands and use only the highest quality materials.  The cladding systems we install have fire ratings compliant with prevailing building regulations, ensuring the safety and security of all building users.
